Executive Director of Collegiate Impact; MBCollegiate Strategist
Mission Statement:
To see the Gospel of Jesus create disciple-making communities on K.C. colleges for the fame of God and the flourishing of all.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a Campus Missionary:
As a college student, I loved being involved in the Baptist Student Union at Northwest Missouri State. In the last semester of my senior year I became increasingly unsure as to what I was going to do after graduation. My Campus Missionary, Jason Yarnell, asked me if I had ever considered becoming a Campus Missionary. That conversation led me on a path of asking God to open doors for me continue ministering to college students, and He responded by connecting me with a core team that launched Impact Ministries at UMKC. In 2018 I launched Collegiate Impact, a network of individuals, churches, and on-campus ministries working together to bring the gospel to Kansas City area colleges.
What do you love about doing ministry on your campus?
I love walking alongside college students while they make significant life decisions and helping them follow Jesus's lead.

Tell us about yourself and your family:
I've had the joy of being married to my amazing wife, Britney, since August of 2009, and being the father of five pretty cool kids: Ambrielle (2011), Elias (2013), Adeline (2016), Abigail (2019) and Aliza (2021). When not working on campus or hanging out with family, my time is spent keeping up with my favorite teams (GO CHIEFS & ROYALS!), hiking, or enjoying all things coffee.
What do you hope to see happen on your campus/within your ministry in the next few years?
I'm praying for God to raise up more men and women to be gospel ministers on K.C. area campuses. The harvest is plentiful!
What are some of the things your ministry does?
We offer coaching and support for individuals and church groups that are ministering on college campuses. We have started developing a Bible study resource called Discipleship Lab that we take students through as we partner with churches in their discipleship. We host college students and young adults in our home twice a month for dinner, games, and fellowship to create a space for them to connect and invite their friends. We have an on-campus presence on 8 Kansas City area campuses. Each on-campus ministry looks a little different, but the focus is on evangelism and meeting new students we can equip and connect with our partner churches.
