Ministry: Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM)
Role: Campus Missionary
Mission Statement To see a Christ follower from every team, every nation and student group growing and multiplying where they are planted.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a Campus Missionary. Having served in college missions for the last 20 years, I was headed overseas when God and COVID shut that door. Praying about various opportunities, I sensed the Lord continue to open the door and bring peace and partners on board for the adventure of BCM service here at Lincoln University.
What do you love about doing ministry on your campus? I love that God already knows and has gone before those staff, coaches, student athletes and international students who will cross my path. It is fun to see those relationships intersect and grow as we have the same vision on campus.
Tell us about yourself and your family. I am originally from Colorado where I grew up in the middle of 3 adventurous and athletic boys. We loved competing and exploring in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. After college, I began coaching and serving in various church capacities. At this time, I knew I had a heart for athletes, global students and missions. God has allowed me to direct overseas missions for 20 years now. I have loved learning about people and their cultures in nearly 40 countries.
What do you hope to see happen on your campus/within your ministry in the next few years? I hope that we see several student leaders bloom where they are planted in classes and on sports teams while they multiply a few disciples around them. I would love to take a mission trip overseas and serve in some capacity as well.
What are some of the things your ministry does? Service projects on and off campus, weekly gatherings and small group studies.
