Students from The Bridge Collegiate Ministry at Missouri Valley College partnered with First Baptist Church of O’Fallon for a spring break mission trip through Engage O’Fallon in March. Student participated in evangelism trainings, served the community, and did door-to-door evangelism.
Campus Missionary Marita Avilez reports how that trip has impacted her students in the weeks since:
“On our spring break mission trip, we did door knocking in the community with several members from the church. After the trip, some of our students asked if we could make some Easter invites for Relevant Church and do some door knocking around Marshall. They also wanted to invite the rest of the church to be involved as well. I love to see how this trip has pushed them out of their comfort zone and given them the confidence and tools to reach out to their own community! And I love that they want to create connections with the other members of our church and invite them along with them in doing so! Our college students may be young and at time inexperienced but they get passionate about their convictions and put feet to their faith: something that all of us “older” believers can learn a lot from!”
