Ministry: The Lighthouse at Northwest
Role: Campus Missionary
Mission Statement:
The Bridge exists to reach students at Missouri Valley College, make disciples, and live on mission for Christ in our daily lives.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a Campus Missionary:
I grew up with parents who were campus missionaries, so my whole life, I have been exposed to how it works. When I got to college, I realized that it was the most important time of my life, where I truly decided to follow Jesus, whole-heartedly. I spent two years at the Lighthouse at Northwest Missouri State, apprenticing Jason and Karin Yarnell. Now, my wife and I are ready to make a difference at a new campus.
What do you love about doing ministry on your campus?
I love being able to spend time with college students, and be involved in their lives and see how Jesus can help shape them.
Tell us about yourself and your family:
My wife, Beth, and I got married in 2022. We have a daughter, Kaia
What do you hope to see happen on your campus/within your ministry in the next few years?
I hope to have several student leaders who can help take responsibility in the ministry, as we continue to make a difference on the campus.
What are some of the things your ministry does?
The Bridge does a really good job of meeting students where they are. Our staff is really interested in a lot of different activities, which helps us to do things that our students are interested in. I am always interested in learning new activities.
