Seven Missouri State University BSU students trekked to Butte, Montana from March 11-18, 2023 with Campus Missionaries Chris Wilson and David Stone. They painted and cleaned up a church and building. They also worked on the BSU building at Montana Tech, helping prepare it for Mark Arbaugh’s son, Joel, and his wife, Lauren, to move in. The Arbaughs planned to leverage their residence in the BSU building to foster discipleship and a place for students to hang out.
The trip challenged the MSU students to share the gospel and serve. Wilson says the students “they came out of their shells” and returned from the trip closer as a community. Since the trip, Wilson and Stone have had productive conversations with the trip attendees about applying for leadership. “We are going to gain some future leaders from this trip,” says Wilson.
