Shane, a senior graphic design major at Missouri Valley College and participant in the Bridge ministry, used his class project as a chance to not only exhibit his art but also his faith. On April 1st-4th, his exhibition “Faith, Form, and Fastballs” was on display in the Morrison Art Gallery on campus. Shane displayed six pieces of his work that connected architecture, baseball and Christianity.

At the reception, Shane shared with the group about his inspiration for his work. He shared that he loves God, baseball, and design and wanted to combine these three passions together as a way to share Christ with others. Shane encouraged his viewers to take a free Bible and look up the verses connected with each piece of art. He then shared about his 6 pieces of work.

One of his pieces was titled “The Armor of God” and connected a catcher’s gear with the armor of God. In another piece, titled “Living Water Ballpark Blueprint,” Shane designed a baseball stadium in which every detailed was inspired from a Bible verse or story.
