Missional Living Wins May 2020

Every month, our Campus Missionaries fill out reports on how God is working in and through their ministries. These answers are taken from their reports with their permission.

What was your greatest missional living win this month?

Paul Damery, Missouri Western University

I’ve decided that one of the most important mission fields for me currently is my home and neighborhood. I have also found a win in encouraging and equipping student leaders to live on mission right where they are during the COVID crisis.

Bruce Wade, Missouri S&T

I’ve had good conversations with my next door neighbor

Christina Boatright, North Central Missouri College

I had a young woman who is a new believer start sharing our Bible Studies on her Facebook and sharing Jesus with those around her as well.

Greg Xander, Truman State University

We have been working since mid March with CCF (Christian Campus Fellowship) and the international office to help the 300 international students stuck in Kirksville with rent and food. We are now coordinating with them food bank rides every 2 weeks. The first one last week had 41 students come. We will be doing Walmart weekly grocery trips with CCF I love the modeling and impact we can have to the international office staff about what it looks like to live a life of faith in Jesus.

Reese Hammond, Southeast Missouri State University

I’ve been able to stay up with over-the-phone discipleship and missional conversations with one student in St. Louis who isn’t a part of our ministry and a young man I met at Walmart.

Aaron Werner, Crowder College

I’ve talked a lot about J* (the high school student I found lying in the street one day trying to get a ride to school) on some of my reports. I hadn’t really heard from him since March. Last night I invited him to our BSU cookout event and he came and hung out for a little while. Who knows how God will use this, but I believe in a mighty God who will do big things with him someday

Kyle Rapinchuk, College of the Ozarks

I am beginning to meet weekly with someone in ministry who is needing counsel and help in his Christian walk and marriage.

Kale Uzzle, University of Missouri – St. Louis

We’ve met a ton of neighbors recently and I’m really excited to see where the Lord takes these relationships.

Scott Westfall, Missouri Valley College

At our coffee house, I met 13 students and was able to share about the ministry. I also presented the gospel to a couple of international students. Every night we were supposed to be done at 10 pm but we stayed until 1am praying and talking with students.
