Crowder College Campus Ministry: BSU
Mission Statement:
To Share Jesus with the world one student at a time
To Share Jesus with the world one student at a time
Tell us about your journey to becoming a Campus Missionary:
I was called to college ministry in Seminary, around 1998 after much prayer and reflection. As a college student in 1991 I accepted Jesus and was discipled by my campus minister at Syracuse University. My calling is to pour into students like he poured into me. I have been serving on Crowder College since January 1, 2000.

What do you love about doing ministry on your campus?
Crowder College is like one large family. Because of its size students and faculty/staff are able to actively connect with one another. I love Crowder College because of this family atmosphere, strong core values, and its interest in student’s lives instead of them just being a number.

Tell us about yourself and your family:
I have been married for more than 20 years, have three children ages 18, 15, and 11. Along with my responsibility as Campus Minister I also drive a school bus. Most of my time is spent in these areas unless it’s basketball season, then if I have any free time that’s where I’ll be.

What do you hope to see happen on your campus/within your ministry in the next few years?
Each season of ministry here at Crowder can be different. My goals are that community becomes more and more involved with the International Students we have. We can’t go everywhere in the world but we can equip others who will.

What are some of the things your ministry does?
Most students love our retreats and mission trips of which we try to take at least four per year. We are willing to travel anywhere but the last few years we have been to Memphis, New Mexico, New Orleans, and Haiti.
