Ministry: Department of Campus Ministry and Missions
Mission Statement:
To assist students in their growth towards spiritual maturity and equip them to impact the world for the cause of Christ.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a Campus Missionary:
I graduated from HLGU and was later hired as the Men’s Resident Director in 2018. Through my work as the Resident Director, God developed within me a heart for student ministry and a desire to see students come to know Christ. I would often use my position as a means of ministering to students over the next two years. In the summer of 2020, God finally opened doors that allowed me to not only step into the role of Director of Campus Ministry and Missions but also partner alongside MBCollegiate to more effectively minister to students.
What do you love about doing ministry on your campus?
HLGU campus has a very welcoming atmosphere and functions as a close community, which makes for a great place to engage with students and build relationships.
Tell us about yourself:
I am currently an MDiv. student through Midwestern Seminary and enjoy studying Jewish culture in my free time.
What do you hope to see happen on your campus/within your ministry in the next few years?
My desire is to see our students develop in their faith and exemplify Christ in everything they do that they might impact Hannibal area and the world with the gospel.
What are some of the things your ministry does?
Our ministry hosts different opportunities for students to connect through community groups, join in worship services, and participate in local service projects and missions.
